Respiratory Management Magazine to Debut at Medtrade 2006
CHATSWORTH, Calif. -- June 20, 2006 -- Respiratory Management,
an industry publication targeting home medical equipment (HME) respiratory
suppliers, sleep disorder professionals and respiratory therapists, will
debut at Medtrade 2006 this September, 1105 Media Inc. has announced.
Respiratory Management is the newest member of 1105's HME Media
Group, headed by publisher Karen Cavallo. The magazine's editor is Deborah
Cooper.
"With the challenging environment we're facing, a magazine focused on
the needs of the respiratory community is needed now more than ever,"
Cavallo notes. She referenced the new 36-month oxygen rental cap, supplier
accreditation requirements, a rapidly expanding sleep disorders market,
inhalation drug therapy fees and national competitive bidding as examples
of topics that will receive in-depth coverage in Respiratory Management.
"Our mission is to provide in-depth and practical business intelligence
that is, above all, focused exclusively on the needs of respiratory suppliers
and professionals," says Cavallo, whose publishing experience includes
more than seven years in the HME industry.
The new title joins monthly sister publications Home Health Products--a
13-year-old product-driven tabloid magazine covering the entire HME spectrum--and
Mobility Management, a magazine devoted exclusively to the HME
mobility and rehab markets, and created by Cavallo five years ago. Respiratory
Management will be published bi-monthly in 2007.
Respiratory Management is the first new magazine to grow out of
the HME Media Group since its parent company 1105 Media Inc. was formed
in April 2006. In addition to being mailed to 12,000 qualified HME respiratory
professionals, Respiratory Management will be distributed at Medtrade,
the home medical equipment industry’s largest trade show, taking place
September 18-21 in Atlanta.
